Cookies or cakes? How about BOTH with over 20 different recipe options!! I posted my Red Velvet Crinkles that start with a cake mix and I realized I hadn't posted my basic cake mix cookie recipe that can literally be used to make tons of different kinds of cookies. Wait no more AND be sure to share this post to your Facebook so you can keep coming back to it. This is the foundation recipe!
Another perfect thing is that there are only a few ingredients, very little measuring so even the kids can help put these together and they are ready in less than 20 minutes!
This basic recipe can be used for an endless amount of cookies, all you need is a quick peek into the pantry and use what you already have on hand. Just swap the cake mix for any other kind and the use a different "mixin" and you have another type of cookie! One of my other favorites is Funfetti cake mix with extra sprinkles!
Ingredients:
1 box cake mix (just the dry ingredients from 15.25-18.25 oz box)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1/2 cup mix-ins of your choosing
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare your baking sheet by adding parchment paper or a silicone mat.
In a bowl, mix together the cake mix, vegetable oil and eggs until combined.
Stir in your mix-in(s) of preference.
Using a cookie scoop, drop the dough onto the baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake 10-12 minutes and remove from oven. Cool for 2 minutes on the baking sheet then transfer to a cooling rack or a sheet of waxed paper.
