Fruit Salsa

If you need a quick appetizer in a pinch, this is really easy to throw together and is over the moon in taste. Simply dice up your favorite fruits with your favorite sugar and serve with homemade cinnamon chips, store bought cinnamon pitas, pita pockets, tortilla scoops or even serve on top of oatmeal.


Ingredients:

  • 1 pint Strawberries, remove the tops and finely diced

  • 4 Kiwi, peeled and finely diced

  • 1 Pineapple

  • 1 Apple, finely diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

  • 1 cup Watermelon, finely diced

  • 1/4 cup Honey

  • 1 Lemon


Directions:

  1. Place all of the diced fruit in a large bowl.

  2. Pour the honey over the fruit and then squeeze the lemon over the fruit. Toss the fruit until well coated.

  3. Cover the fruit and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Additional fruit that is great to add include blueberries, raspberries, mango, peaches, grapes or even dragon fruit!
