Grandma's Nut Pie Crust

This is one of the very first recipes my grandma taught me at an early age. It brings back fond memories and tugs at my heart when I'm making this delicious and flaky crust. It's the perfect blend for some of those fruit pies, blueberry delights or really good with a quiche or casserole. This is a good alternative to crushed graham crackers or pretzel crusts. Have you used a crust like this for mini tarts?

It is fairly simple to make and I would love for your comments with your family nut recipe that has been shared down through the generations. Let's keep them alive!!
Ingredients:
1/12 cups all-purpose flour
1 stick melted butter
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts are best)
Directions:
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Melt the butter.
Mix together the melted butter and flour, forming a dough.
Stir in the finely chopped pecans.
Press the crust into a 13"x9" baking dish or two pie pans (depending on how thick you like your crust).
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust begins to turn a golden brown. Let the crust cool before adding any filling.
Tip:
If you are making this crust with a regular pie where you bake the crust with the pie filling, just bake it according to the recipe instructions for that particular pie. This would make a pumpkin pie tip over the top!
