Honey Lime Baked Salmon

This is my all-time, hands down best way to make easy salmon! It literally takes no time to prep and only 25 minutes in the oven. You can't mess this simple recipe up! If cooking salmon scares you, try this! I rarely eat the same meal more than once or twice a month and I HAVE to have this a few times.

Look at those beautiful juicy limes to set the salmon on! Just slice them up and put them on the foil!

A large salmon filet with skin on is the best for this and it doesn't require any cutting or prep! Add all that simple marinade sauce, wrap up and you are ready to go!
Ingredients:
1 large salmon fillet (really the size doesn't matter too much but I like a larger portion for leftovers)
salt and pepper, to taste
1 stick butter, melted
juice of 2 limes (plus one lime, thinly sliced)
4 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1/3 cup cilantro, roughly chopped (or less if you don't like it to overwhelm the dish)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet with sides by laying a large piece of foil on it.
Lay out the lime slices as a base for the salmon.
Place the salmon on top of the limes and season with salt and pepper on both sides to taste.
Stir together butter, lime juice, honey, and garlic. Pour mixture over salmon.
Fold sides of foil up over the salmon (it does not matter if it doesn't cover the salmon completely).
Bake for 15-20 minutes. Switch oven to broil and cook another 5 minutes.
Sprinkle your salmon with chopped cilantro over the top (or leave off) and serve.
